TOWSON, Md. – The Stevenson University women's swimming team won its second straight meet to open the season on Saturday, defeating Goucher 162-38 on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.
In the opening 200 yard medley relay, the team of
Rachel Kaczmarski,
Mackayla Du,
Hailey Buenemann and
Jennie Hudson captured the event with a time of 2:10.40.
The Mustangs went 1-2 in the 1000 free with the team of
Alexa Darak winning the event at 12:12.39 with
Allison Fitzgerald in second at 13:59.32.
In the 200 free,
Bailey Jackson was first at 2:06.36, with
Emmalynn Kohl second at 2:21.55 and
Shelby Flynn third at 2:28.45.
In the 50 free,
Mackenzie Payne was first at 27.28,
Kaylie Wolf second at 28.82 and
Rachel Balcer third at 30.19.
The 200 IM saw
Hailey Buenemann first with a time of 2:29.26 and
Sydney Kawana second with a time of 2:38.45.
In the 100 fly, Darak was first at 1:05.72, Buenemann second at 1:05.86 and Payne third at 1:06.34.
Du won the 100 free at 57.99, Hudson was second at 58.36 and Abby Bachman third at 1:01.96.
Kaczmarski won the 100 back at 1:08.36, with Kawana second at 1:10.42 and Wolf was third at 1:17.47.
Jackson won the 500 free at 5:37.79, with Kohl second at 6:12.67 and Flynn third at 6:30.88.
Hudson captured the 100 breast at 1:13.60, Du was third at 1:16.94.
In the final 200 free relay, Weigel, D'Angiolillo, Clark and Sopko won the event at 1:34.31, while Jordan, Welsh, Strain and Kaus were second at 1:43.64.
