ANNVILLE, Pa. -- The Stevenson women's lacrosse team was tabbed second in the 2023 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth Preseason Coaches Poll, announced Thursday.
Stevenson received 54 points, slotting behind first-place York College of Pennsylvania, who notched 64 points and picked up eight first place votes.
Messiah University slotted third with 53 points, while Widener University and Lebanon Valley College rounded out the top five with 40 and 39 points respectively, followed by Albright College, Hood College, Alvernia University, and Eastern University. Hood and Alvernia tied with 19 points while Eastern tallied eight points.
Women's lacrosse advanced to the NCAA tournament in the second round last season, ending the game in a 20-6 loss against #6 Franklin & Marshall College.
