STEVENSON, Md. - The Stevenson women's tennis team dominated visiting Trinity (D.C.) by a 9-0 score at the Stevenson courts - giving them four wins out of their last five matches.
Junior Torrienne Emery and senior Jacquelyn Nesbeth won their No. 1 match by an 8-0 score, while sophomores Kera Skove and Samantha Zudov won by the same 8-0 score in No. 2. Freshmen Jazmine Arias and Jess Sesay picked up their first win as a duo in No. 3., 8-0.
Emery won her fourth match out of the last five in a 6-0, 6-1 rout in No. 1 singles. Nesbeth won her fifth match out of six with 6-0, 6-0 shutout of her opponent in No. 2.
Zudov picked up her fifth win of the year in No. 3 singles by a 6-0, 6-0 score. Skove and Arias also won their matches via shutout, 6-0, 6-0. Arias and Skove have each won four out of their last five matches.
Sesay cruised to a 6-3, 6-0 win in No. 6 for the Mustangs.
The Mustangs (5-9, 2-0) will look to stay undefeated in conference play when they take on Lebanon Valley at home on Sunday, April 10. First serve is set for 12:00 p.m at the Stevenson Courts.
