STEVENSON, Md. - The Stevenson women's tennis team knocked off Marymount (Va.) by a 6-3 score in its fall season finale, held at the Stevenson tennis courts.
The Mustangs took an early 3-0 lead by sweeping the doubles matches. Seniors Jacquelyn Nesbeth and Torrienne Emery opened up doubles play with an 8-4 win in No. 1, while freshmen Alexandria Kramer and Kera Skove took down their opponents in No. 2 by the same 8-4 score. In No. 3, freshmen Samantha Zudov and Eden Platt also picked up an 8-4 victory.
In singles play, Zudov dominated her No. 5 opponent by a 6-1, 6-0 score. Platt downed her No. 6 opponent, 8-4.
Emery won her No. 1 match via retirement.
Skove and Nesbeth dropped their singles matches in three sets. Kramer dropped her No. 4 match in straight sets, 7-6, 7-6.
This match concludes the fall season for the Mustangs.
