STEVENSON, Md. - The fourth-seeded Stevenson women's tennis team fell to fifth-seeded Messiah in the MAC Commonwealth Quarterfinals, held at the Stevenson Courts, by a 5-0 score.
Senior Megan Waskiewicz and sophomore Torrienne Emery lost a tough 8-6 match in No. 1 doubles. Senior Esha Kashmiri and junior Jacquelyn Nesbeth dropped their No. 2 match by an 8-4 score, while freshmen Kera Skove and Alexandria Kremer fell 8-5 in their No. 3 matchup.
Waskiewicz and Nesbeth would fall in their No. 2 and 3 singles matches by scores of 6-3, 6-0 and 6-2, 6-0 to seal the match for Messiah.
Emery and Skove were leading their respective matches, which were halted when Messiah clinched the victory.
Messiah will take on top-seeded York (Pa.) in the semifinals.
