YORK, Pa. - The Stevenson women's tennis team dropped its first MAC Commonwealth match of the year in a 9-0 defeat to host York (Pa.).
Sophomore Torrienne Emery and senior Megan Waskiewicz fell in their No. 1 doubles match by an 8-4 score, while senior Esha Kashmiri and junior Jacquelyn Nesbeth fell in their No. 2 match by an 8-3 margin.
Emery dropped a hard-fought first set in No. 1 singles before dropping the match, 7-5, 6-2.
Kashmiri won the first set in her No. 4 match, but would eventually fall 5-7, 6-0, 11-9.
The Mustangs compete next in a conference road match against Lebanon Valley on Wednesday, April 28. First serve is set for 3:00 p.m.
