OWINGS MILLS, Md. - In a game where neither team led by more than a goal, visiting Widener scored 1:33 into the first overtime to edge Stevenson 8-7 in MAC Commonwealth women's lacrosse Saturday afternoon at Mustang Stadium

• Widener (5-4, 3-2 MAC Commonwealth) got on the board 1:52 into the game on Katie Ward's 13th goal of the season.
• Kirsten Foster responded for Stevenson (9-2, 5-2) at the 21:52 mark to the the game 1-1.
• Kaitlyn Kozlowski's 20th goal of the season just under two minutes later gave the Mustangs their first lead of the game, 2-1.
• The Pride responded with a goal at the 16:16 mark, before Caroline Murphy put home a low-angle shot from the left of Widener goalie Maddie Medve to make it a 3-2 Stevenson lead.
• Caroline Kelley tied the game for Widener with 5:28 left.
• With a man-up situation 33 seconds before halftime, Widener took a 4-3 lead on a Gab Cohen man-up tally.

• Hannah Huff took advantage of a man-up opportunity to tie the game just over four minutes into the second half.
• With a man-up chance of its own, Widener reclaimed the lead, 5-4, 1:22 later.
• At the 24:06 mark, Tea Ferrara scored on a free position shot for Stevenson to tie the game 5-5.
• Widener took a 6-5 lead on a Kelley free position shot with just over 22 minutes to go.
• With 13:20 left, Kara Yarusso converted a free position for the Mustangs to forge the game's sixth tie.
• Kelley struck again, converting a free position with 11:41 on the clock to put the guests in front 7-6.
• With 5:34 remaining, Murphy found a cutting Lan Le Crotty from behind the goal and Crotty scored to make it 7-7.
• A Widener shot with just over two minutes to go was saved by Mustang goalie Sophie Shucosky, and with 1:31 on the clock the hosts called timeout.
• Yarusso got a clean look on a feed from Mary Marc with 44 seconds left but her shot was stopped by Medve.
• Widener called timeout but was unable to get a shot away before the end of regulation.

• Widener's Amber Bretz won the initial draw of overtime.
• After a shot by Kelley was sent high, Bretz converted a free position at the 4:27 mark for the game-winner.

• Widener outshot Stevenson 35-32 for the game.
• Shucosky totaled 16 saves for the Mustangs, while Widener counterpart Medve turned aside 13 shots.
• Seven different players found the back of the net for Stevenson, with Murphy recording a goal and an assist.
• Foster and Kozlowski each had three caused turnovers for Stevenson, while Snyder added two.
• Ferrara led the Mustangs with five draw controls and Kozlowski had three.
• The game was Stevenson's first overtime game since March 7, 2018, a 10-9 setback to Washington (Md.) College.
• Prior to the game, seniors Snyder, Rachel Frizzell, Melanie Meara and Lauren Tarnowski were honored in Senior Day ceremonies.

• Stevenson closes out the regular season on Wednesday when it travels to No. 15 Messiah for a 7:00 contest.
