FREDERICK, Md. - The Stevenson women's team picked up its first win of the season against MAC rival Hood by a 5-4 margin.
Senior Esha Kashmiri and junior Jacquelyn Nesbeth opened up play with their first win of the year in No. 2 doubles, 8-3. Stevenson picked up another doubles win via default.
Sophomore Torrienne Emery dropped her No. 1 singles match by a 6-2, 6-2, while senior Megan Waskiewicz fell in straight sets to her No. 2 opponent.
Nesbeth overcame a one-set deficit to take her No. 3 match by a 2-6, 6-2, 6-1 score. Stevenson's other two singles wins came via default.
Stevenson's next scheduled match takes place on Saturday, April 17 against Messiah at the Stevenson Courts. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m.
