STEVENSON, Md. - The Stevenson women's tennis team dropped its home match to visiting Arcadia by a score of 7-2 at the Greenspring Courts.
Freshmen Samantha Zudov and Alexandria Kramer picked up their first career singles wins in No. 5 and No. 6 by scores of 6-3, 6-2 and 6-1, 6-4.
The Mustangs opened up play by losing two hard fought doubles matches. Seniors Megan Waskiewicz and Esha Kashmiri dropped their No. 1 match by an 8-6 margin, while Zudov and Kramer fell in No. 3, 8-7.
Waskiewicz and junior Jacquelyn Nesbeth lost their No. 1 and No. 2 singles matches by scores of 6-4, 6-2 and 6-1, 6-3.
Kashmiri and freshman Kera Skove also lost in straight sets.
The Mustangs (0-2) compete next in a road match against DeSales on Saturday, April 3 at 11:00 a.m.
