ST. MARY'S CITY, Md.- The Stevenson men's swim team fell to host St. Mary's (Md.), 101-56, and were edge 79-64 against McDaniel in a tri-meet Saturday afternoon.
Ian D'Angiolillo came in with a record-breaking time of 2:13.86 in the 200 backstroke to take the top spot. Sean Sopko finished behind him with a time of 2:23. 32, Steven Kline (2:44.56) finished fourth and Haden Welsh (2:24.40) finished fifth.
D'Angiolillo claimed the top spot in the 200 butterfly touching the wall at 2:05.75. In the 100 freestyle, Sopko took second as he touched the wall at 50.82 while Nate Walker finished fourth with a time of 58.25. Sopko took second in the 200 IM clocking in at 2:12.17 and Kline came in with a time of 2:43.42 to claim fifth.
In the 50 freestyle, D'Angiolillo finished third with a time of 23.98 while Walker (25.33) finished fifth, and Welsh (28.95) finished sixth. In the 500 freestyle, Kline finished third coming in with a time of 7:15.56. In the 200 freestyle, Welsh finished fifth with a time of 2:19.55.
The men's swim team returns to the pool, November 13th as they travel to Elizabethtown for a 1 PM meet.
