MADISON, N.J.- The Stevenson men's swim team traveled to FDU-Florham to compete in their final dual meet of the semester. The Mustangs fell, 93-74.
Sean Sopko picked up a first place in the 50 freestyle clocking in at 22.65 and Haden Welsh finished third with a time of 27.03. In the 100 butterfly, Sopko added another first place as he touched the wall at 57.59 and Steven Kine finished third with a time of 1:19.24.
In the 100 freestyle, Ian D'Angiolillo took the top spot with a time of 52.52 while Welsh finished fourth with a time of 1:02.16. In his final individual race of the day, Sopko took first again in the 100 backstroke touching the wall at 59.33.
In the 500 freestyle, D'Angiolillo took first coming in with a time of 5:32.45. In the 200 IM, D'Angiolillo claimed second coming in with a time of 2:13.71. In the 100 breaststroke, Walker (1:15.65), Kline (1:25.90), and Welsh (2:04.88) finished second, third, and fourth, respectively.
In the 200 freestyle, Nate Walker (2:13.77) finished third while Kline (2:25.22) finished fourth.
Sopko picked up three first place finishes. D'Angiolillo added two first and a second place.
The Mustangs return December 3-4 to compete in the Yellow Jacket Invitational at Randolph-Macon.
