OWINGS MILLS, Md.- The Stevenson men's swim team fell, 132-43 against Lycoming on Sunday.
Sean Sopko broke the Mustangs program 50 freestyle record as he touched the wall at 22.15 to also take first in the event.
In the 200 freestyle, Nate Walker finished third with a time of 2:08.53 while Steven Kline finished behind Walker in fourth with a time of 2:30.17. In the 50 free, Haden Welsh finished fifth coming in with a time of 27.73. In the 200 IM, Ian D'Angiolillo took fourth clocking in at 2:12.11.
Sopka placed third in the 100 butterfly coming in with a time of 57.49. In the 100 freestyle, D'Angiolillio, Walker, and Welsh finished third, fourth, and fifth respectively. In the 100 backstroke, Sopko finished second with a time of 59.26 while Kline finished fourth with a time of 1:11.71.
In the 500 freestyle, D'Angiolillo (5:16.05) finished second, and Welsh (6:50.60) finished fourth. Walker and Kline finished third and fourth in the 100 breaststroke.
Sopko recorded personal best times in all three of his events. D'Angiollio recorded two personal best times. Kline recorded a personal best time in the 100 backstroke.
The men's swim team returns to the pool as they travel to St. Mary's (Md.) to compete in the a tri-match with McDaniel.
