Box Score GETTYSBURG, Pa. - The Stevenson women's lacrosse team traveled to Gettysburg on Saturday afternoon for a non-conference match-up against No. 4 Gettysburg. The Bullets cruised to a 16-7 victory over the Mustangs. Stevenson had five different players hit the back of the net, with Sophomore Caroline Murphy and Senior Carly Bowes each recording two.
- The Bullets (2-0) scored three goals in the beginning two minutes. Maddy Ruffuni got one in the back of the net at the 28:53 mark, Liza Barr recorded a goal 10 seconds later, and Ella Orzechowski put one on the board at the 27:53 mark as a free-poisition shot.
- Gettysburg went up 11 -0 after scoring seven consecutive goals capped by a third Bri Strokes goal of the game at the 8:45 mark.
- Murphy got Stevenson (0-2) on the board as she hit the back of the net at the 4:56 mark, assisted by Melanie Meara.
- With 1:48 remaining, on a free-position shot, Ruffini made it a 12-1 game.
- Right at the buzzer for the break, Kaitlyn Kozlowski netted her first goal of the season with an assist by Hannah Huff to make it a 2-12 game.
- Mack Ferguson recorded four saves in the first half for the Mustangs.
- On a free-position shot at 27:08, Kerry McKeever made her sixth goal of the season to extend the Bullets lead by 11, 13-2.
- After a ground ball pickup by Ferguson, Bowes was able to find the back of the net to get Stevenson their third goal of the game.
- Ferguson made a save on a shot by Courtney Patterson at the 18:50 mark, Patterson came back around to collect a goal at the 18:38 mark to make the score, 14-3.
- Murphy recorded her second goal of the game at the 14:04 mark, 4-14.
- On the sixth free-position attempt of the game, Huff got her first goal of the season to give Stevenson it's fifth goal.
- Gettysburg made the next two goals of the game, Gabi Connor at the 10:11 mark and Maddi Siebel at the 8:19 mark.
- With 6:41 remaning in the game, Mary Marc got one in the cage off a free-position shot.
- Ending the game with 25 seconds remaining, Bowes ended the game with a goal to make it 16-7.
- Gettysburg outshot Stevenson, 32-19, including 21-7 in the first half.
- Stevenson finished with seven saves on the afternoon.
- The Bullets recorded 16 of 24 draw controls.
- The Mustangs had seven free-position goals, including six in the second half.
