Women's Tennis Wins Fourth Straight in 7-2 Rout of Hood

FREDERICK, Md. - The Stevenson women's tennis team won its fourth match in a row in a 7-2 triumph over host Hood. The win improves the Mustangs' record to 7-3 overall and 3-0 in MAC Commonwealth play.

Juniors Jenna Skove and Nina Bretz dropped their No. 1 doubles match in a thrilling fashion by an 8-7 (7-5) score, but that would be the only setback for the Mustangs in doubles play. Senior Kirstyn Davidson and freshman Jacquelyn Nesbeth cruised to an 8-3 win in No. 2, while senior Christina Endy and sophomore Esha Kashmiri dominated in No. 3 by an 8-1 margin. 

Davidson picked up her fourth-straight win and ninth overall in her 6-3, 6-2 win in No. 2 singles. In No. 3, Bretz rolled to a 6-4, 6-1 straight-set victory to improve to 6-7 on the year. 

Nesbeth earned her third career singles win in a 6-4, 6-1 triumph in No. 4, while Endy took down her No. 5 opponent by a 6-1, 6-1 score. The win gives Endy four on the season.

Kashmiri won her third match of the season in stellar fashion, 6-0, 6-1. 

The Mustangs hit the court next in a MAC Commonwealth home match against Arcadia on Saturday, April 13 at 1:00 p.m.
