Bowes Nets 100th Career Goal, Mustangs Win Eighth Straight

OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Junior Carly Bowes scored her 100th career goal and the Stevenson University women's lacrosse team scored seven of the final eight goals of the first half en route to a 20-12 MAC Commonwealth victory over Widener Saturday afternoon at Mustang Stadium.

  • Stevenson (11-3, 5-0 MAC Commonwealth) scored 23 seconds into the game as Kaitlyn Kozlowski registered her 12th goal of the season.
  • Kelly Lynch responded with her 49th goal of the season just 1:27 later for Widener (5-9, 2-4 MAC Commonwealth).
  • Dana Stevens scored 18 seconds later to reclaim the lead for the Mustangs, with Tea Ferrara assisting.
  • Bowes scored her first goal of the game at the 22:18 mark.
  • After Widener scored to pull within a goal, another Bowes tally with 19:22 left made it 4-2.
