ASHLAND, Va. - The trio of senior Dana Stevens, junior Carly Bowes and freshman Caroline Murphy combined for 10 goals as the Stevenson women's lacrosse team posted its first win of the season with a 14-12 victory over Randolph-Macon in non-conference action Saturday afternoon at Day Field.

• The Yellow Jackets (1-2) netted the first goal of the game, 3:42 into the contest, before the Mustangs (1-2) tied the game on the first of three goals by Murphy on an assist by sophomore Lindsay Seipp.
• Randolph-Macon scored two goals in a 23-second span after scoring and winning the ensuing draw control just prior to the midway point of the half.
• Just 20 seconds later, freshman Kaitlin Kozlowski netted a free-position goal.
• After Stevenson missed a pair of free-position shots, Bowes tied the game at 4-4 with 11:59 remaining in the opening half.
• The teams traded a pair of goals with freshman Lan Le Crotty netting her first career goal.
• The Mustangs took their first lead of the game with 4:48 remaining on a free-position goal from Bowes.
• With 22 seconds left in the opening half, Murphy netted her second goal to give the visitors a two-goal lead at the break.

• The Yellow Jackets scored 32 seconds into the second half before tying the game at, 6-6, at the 21:12 mark.
• Stevenson responded with the first career goal by freshman Tea Ferrara just 59 seconds later.
• The hosts scored three of the next four goals to take a 9-8 lead with 17:33 remaining.
• Stevens scored three of the game's next four goals to give the Mustangs a one-goal lead with just over 10 minutes remaining.
• The Mustangs scored three of the final five goals.

• Stevenson outshot Randolph-Macon, 34-29, while the Yellow Jackets won 19 of the 28 draw controls.
• The Mustangs finished 3-for-7 on free-position shots while Randolph-Macon went 0-for-7.
• Bowes extends her goal streak to seven games and marks her fourth career game with four goals.
• Stevens finished with a career-high three goals.
• Murphy has a goal in two of her first three games after recording a hat trick.
• Kozlowski recorded three points on two goals and one assist while Seipp dished out three assists.
• Junior Mack Ferguson recorded nine saves in net.

• Stevenson returns to action on Wednesday, March 6 when the Mustangs host a non-conference contest versus Washington (Md.) beginning at 7:00 p.m.
