Box Score OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Stevenson women's lacrosse sophomore Lindsay Seipp netted a pair of goals but top-ranked and defending National Champions, Gettysburg was too much as the Bullets cruised to a 17-3 non-conference victory over the Mustangs Saturday afternoon at Mustang Stadium.
- The Bullets (2-0) got on the board just 43 seconds into the contest on a free-position goal by Maria Nemeth. The visitors doubled their lead on a free-position goal by Steph Colson just 3:27 later.
- Freshman Kaitlyn Kozlowski recorded the first shot of the day for the Mustangs (0-1) but it was saved by Bailey Pilder.
- The hosts had its best scoring chance in the early stages of the opening half as Seipp fed a pass to freshman Caroline Murphy from behind the cage but Pilder made a point blank save.
- On the third free-position attempt of the game for Gettysburg, junior Mack Ferguson came up with a save before making another stop on the rebound attempt.
- With 16:27 remaining, Stevenson had its first free-position shot of the game but Pilder kept the hosts off the board with a save.
- The Bullets went up, 9-0, after scoring three consecutive goals in a 3:07 span, including a pair of goals by Liza Barr.
- Seipp got the Mustangs on the board as she finished a pass from freshman Hannah Huff after Huff
- With two minutes remaining in the half, junior Carly Bowes beat her defender but her shot hit off the crossbar and rolled across the front of the cage.
- Both goalies made saves on free-position shots in the final three minutes of the half.
- Ferguson made a save just 16 seconds into the half before Gettysburg scored back-to-back goals in a 1:26 span to get a running clock.
- Bowes netted her first goal of the game at the 23:33 mark with an unassisted tally.
- Seipp scored her second goal of the game on a free-position shot with 12:56 remaining in the half.
- Gettysburg outshot Stevenson, 32-17, including 20-9 in the first half.
- The Bullets finished 3-for-6 on free-position shots while the Mustangs were 1-for-6.
- It is Seipp's ninth career multi-goal game and fifth in her last seven games dating back to last season.
- Bowes has scored in six straight games dating back to last season.
- Stevenson returns to action on Saturday, March 2 when the Mustangs travel to Randolph-Macon for a non-conference contest beginning at 1:00 p.m.
