Box Score OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Stevenson men's soccer junior Dylan Holy netted his second goal of the season but Kean answered with back-to-back goals, including the game-winner in the 88th minute, as the Cougars posted a 2-1 victory over the Mustangs in the ECAC Division III Men's Soccer semifinals Saturday evening at Mustang Stadium.
- Kean (12-7-3) earned the first corner kick of the game just 2:12 into the contest leading to a shot by Daniel Calderon that was saved by sophomore Matt Stellitano on the far post.
- The shot off the ensuing corner kick was sent to the back post but the shot was sent wide.
- A few minutes later, Stellitano knocked aside a hard shot that deflected off a Mustang defender.
- The Mustangs (14-7-3) had a free kick from just oustide the corner of the 18-yard box but the low shot by sophomore Sean McDonald was easily saved.
- In the 19th minute, junior CJ Beteta sent a ball into the box that was headed by classmate Pete Wickiser but Dillon Konzelmann made a diving save back to his left.
- After Stellitano punched the ball away in the 35th minute, he recovered to get a hand on the ensuing shot and knock it out for a corner kick.
- Just over a minute into the half, Stellitano made a save on a shot that bounced off the slick turf.
- Down the other end, Wickiser put a shot on net but it was easily saved by Konzelmann.
- In the 60th minute, Holy put the Mustangs on the board after heading the ball over Konzelmann on a ball sent in by McDonald.
- Kean tied the game in the 78th minute as Felipe Lucas lobbed a shot into the corner of the net after Stellitano thought the ball was going wide.
- Stellitano made his 11th save of the game on a header to the far post off a corner kick in the 83rd minute.
- The Cougars took a 2-1 lead with 2:03 remaining in regulation as Max Acosta turned and fired the ball to the far left post.
- With just over a minute left, McDonald sent the ball into the box just out of the reach of junior Tariq Lee.
- Kean outshot Stevenson, 24-15, and held a 14-2 advantage in corner kicks.
- It is Holy's second goal of the season and seventh of his career.
- Meanwhile, McDonald dished out his fourth assist of the season.
- Stellitano finished with 11 saves, including eight in the first half.
