Skove Leads Mustangs in 7-2 Loss to Lebanon Valley

STEVENSON, Md. - The Stevenson women's tennis team fell in its MAC Commonwealth match to Lebanon Valley by a 7-2 score at the Greenspring Tennis Courts. The loss drops the Mustangs' record to 4-2 in conference play and 7-9 overall. 

Sophomore Jenna Skove picked up victories in both and singles and doubles play for the Mustangs.

Skove and sophomore Kelsi Mentzer picked up their eighth consecutive win No. 1 doubles after taking their match by an 8-6 score. The win improves the duos' record to 12-8 on the year. 

Skove also picked up a win in No. 1 singles, taking her match in three sets by a 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 score. The victory is Skove's seventh on the season. 

Freshman Megan Waskiewicz dropped to 11-7 in singles play after falling in a hard-fought three-set match, 5-7, 6-2, 10-0. 

Junior Kirstyn Davidson fell in straight sets in No. 2 singles by a 7-5, 6-4 margin, while freshmen Taelor Brown and Rebecca Connelly fell to 3-2 as a tandem after dropping an 8-6 decision in No. 3 doubles. 

The Mustangs conclude regular-season play when they travel to Arcadia on Saturday, April 28. The match is set to begin at 11:00 am.
