READING, Pa. - Stevenson women's lacrosse sophomore Mallory Davila and freshman Lauren Tarnowski each netted hat tricks while sophomore Kiely Bunce finished with five points on two goals and three assists as the Mustangs cruised to a 14-2 MAC Commonwealth victory Thursday afternoon.

The Mustangs (3-6, 1-0 MAC Commonwealth) have posted a 35-5 record in conference play since joining the league in 2013. The team has outscored conference opponents, 663-323 over that stretch and improve to 55-7 all-time versus the eight members of the league with six of the losses coming versus Messiah.

Stevenson scored the opening 12 goals of the game, all coming in the first 20:24 of play. The team scored four goals in the first five minutes, including a pair of goals by sophomore Carly Bowes, who has a goal in all nine games this season. Bunce had two assists on the opening four goals.

The Crusaders (0-8, 0-1 MAC Commonwealth) got on the board with one mintue remaining in the opening half with a free-position goal on just the eighth shot of the game.

Tarnowski completed her hat trick just 40 seconds into the second half with an unassisted goal after sophomore Sarah Roerty won the opening draw control. Davila then scored her third goal of the game with 13:20 remaining in the second half, also an unassisted goal.

The Mustangs outshot Alvernia, 31-14 and won 13 of the 17 draw controls. The visitors also went 4-for-7 on free-position shots.

Stevenson returns to action on Wednesday, April 4 when the Mustangs host a MAC Commonwealth contest versus Alvernia beginning at 7:00 p.m.
