STEVENSON, Md. - The Stevenson women's tennis team swept non-conference opponent Penn State Harrisburg by a 9-0 score at the Greenspring Tennis Courts for its third win of the season.
Freshmen Jenna Skove and Kelsi Mentzer picked up their second-straight win in No.1 doubles with an 8-6 victory over Sydney Nye and Maria Torre of PSU Harrisburg.
Skove would later overcome a one-set deficit to win in No. 1 singles, 1-6, 6-3, 6-4. Mentzer won her third-straight match in No. 3 singles by a 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-6) score.
Sophomores Kirstyn Davidson and Christina Endy were 8-6 winners in their No. 2 doubles match. Davidson and Endy have won three of their last four No. 2 doubles matches.
Davidson would then go on to take her No. 2 singles match in straight-sets, 6-2, 6-4. Endy earned her fourth victory of the season in an 8-3 triumph in No. 4 singles.
Junior Colleen Martin and freshman Nina Bretz won their No. 3 doubles match in dominating fashion, 8-1. Martin won her No. 5 singles match in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1, while Bretz won her fourth match of the season, 8-1.
The Mustangs (3-6) compete next in a non-conference road match against Shenandoah (Va.) on Friday, March 31 at 3:00 pm.
