HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Stevenson women's tennis team fell to Western New England by a 9-0 score in their PTR Spring TennisFest match held at the Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center.
Sophomores Kirstyn Davidson and Christina Endy played a tough match in No. 2 doubles, but would eventually suffer an 8-5 defeat.
Freshmen Jenna Skove and Kelsi Mentzer picked up three games in their No. 1 doubles setback, while freshman Nina Bretz and junior Emily Herzog fell in their No. 3 doubles match, 8-2.
Endy won four games in the first set of her No. 4 singles match, but would go on to drop the match in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2.
Skove picked up five games in her No. 1 singles defeat, while Bretz won four games in her No. 5 singles loss.
The Mustangs (1-5) compete next in their third and final match at the PTR Spring TennisFest against Marietta College (Ohio) on Friday, March 17.
