HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Stevenson women's tennis team fell in its non-conference match to St. Mary's (Md.) by an 8-1 margin at the PTR Spring TennisFest held at the Chaplin Park Tennis Center. Sophomores Christina Endy and Kirstyn Davidson picked up the lone victory for the Mustangs in an 8-4 triumph in No. 2 doubles.
Davidson would later fall in her No. 3 singles match by a 6-3, 6-1 score, while Endy dropped her No. 4 singles match in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1.
Freshman Nina Bretz overcame a one-set deficit in her No. 5 singles match, but would eventually fall in three sets, 6-1, 2-6, 10-3.
Freshman Jenna Skove and sophomore Tracy Nguyen won two games apiece in their singles defeats.
Stevenson (1-4) continues play at the PTR Spring TennisFest in a match against Western New England on Tuesday, March 14.
