Garcia Wins Third Straight Singles Match in 7-2 Loss to Hood

STEVENSON, Md. - Stevenson women's tennis sophomore Jennifer Garcia won her third straight singles match, but the Mustangs would eventually fall to visiting Hood by a 7-2 score at the Greenspring courts.

Garcia won the decisive third set to take her No. 5 singles match, 6-3, 4-6, 10-7.

Junior Ty-Chelle Williams and freshman Christina Endy improved their doubles record to 3-1 after winning in No. 2, 8-6.

Senior Ashlyn Hawbaker picked up five games in the second set of her No. 2 singles match, but would eventually fall, 6-2, 7-5.

Sophomore Colleen Martin won five games in the first of set of her No. 3 singles defeat, while Endy picked up four games in the second set in her No. 4 setback.

Stevenson continues its conference schedule at Arcadia on Saturday, April 16 at 11:00 am.
