ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - Sophomore Jennifer Garcia won her second singles match in a row in the Stevenson women's tennis team's 8-1 loss to host St. Mary's.
Garcia won her No. 5 singles match in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2.
Junior Ty-Chelle Williams picked up four games in her No. 1 singles match, but would eventually fall in straight sets, 6-4, 6-0.
Williams and freshman Christina Endy won three games in No. 2 doubles, but would lose the match 8-3.
Endy, senior Ashlyn Hawbaker and sophomore Colleen Martin each lost their singles matches in straight sets.
The Mustangs (0-9, 0-2) lost two of the matches by default.
Stevenson competes next in a conference home match against Hood in the President's Game on Tuesday, April 12 at 3:30 pm.
