Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Stevenson men's soccer freshman Sam Bly recorded two assists while classmate DR Medtart scored his first career as the Mustangs fell to Lycoming, 4-2, in the season finale Saturday afternoon at Shangraw Complex.
The Mustangs (3-13-3, 2-6 MAC Commonwealth) were outshot 16-9 in the contest while the Warriors (9-6-4, 3-3-2 MAC Commonwealth) held a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Lycoming took the lead just 3:25 into the contest as Mike Amaya headed in the first shot of the game to the right corner off a throw-in. The Warriors put another header in in the 30th minute as Zach Raut scored off a corner kick.
Stevenson got back within one as sophomore Colin Horne deflected in a shot off a free kick from Bly in the 37th minute. It is Horne's second goal of the season and first since September 9. It was the first assists from Bly this season and his first point in eight games.
The Warriors scored back-to-back goals in the second half to make it 4-1 before Medtart scored in the 81st minute from 25 yards out after a cross from Bly.
Senior Michael Tringali finished with four saves in the game and totaled 115 for the season, which ranks fourth all-time.
The game marks the end of the careers of Tringali, Kelvin Adomako and Lorenzo Wright.
