Box Score ASTON, Pa. - Stevenson men's soccer senior Yianni Sarioglou scored his team-leading fourth goal of the season just 1:09 into the contest while junior Ryan Callinan made two saves to earn his second shutout of the season as the Mustangs posted a 2-0 non-conference road win over Neumann Wednesday.
Stevenson (8-1) has now won seven-straight, one shy of the school record set in 2005. It is the team's longest win streak since it also won seven back in 2009, defeating No. 16 Salisbury 1-0 on November 3 in the semifinals of CAC Men's Soccer Championship.
Sarioglou's goal was the sixth game-winner of his career and the fourth fastest in school history. He also holds the school record after scoring just 15 seconds into a 3-0 victory versus La Roche on Aug. 30, 2013 in the Monarch Mortgage Kick-off.
Sarioglou currently leads the team with four goals, four assists and 12 points this season. Tonight marked the 20th goal of his career, moving him into a tie for sixth on the school's all-time list. He is also third with 19 assists and fifth with 59 points. Sarioglou has scored at least one point in seven consecutive games dating back to St. Joseph's (L.I.). He did not play against Penn State Beaver.
Freshman Adam Diabagate picked up his third assist of the year on the goal and trails Sarioglou by just thee points with three goals and three assists, all of which have come in his last five games.
The 1-0 lead would be all the Mustangs would need, but junior Andrew DeLuca added an insurance tally on a penalty kick in the 38th minute.
In a physical contest that saw 27 fouls and six yellow cards, including four on Stevenson, the Mustangs were outshot 13-5 and were held without a shot in the second half.

Dan Jones also made two saves for the Knights (0-6).
Stevenson begins a five-game homestand on Sunday, September 21 when it hosts a non-conference contest with William Paterson at Mustang Stadium beginning at 1:00 p.m. The Mustangs are 3-1 at home this season and 10-2-2 over the last two.
