Box Score DALLAS, Pa. - For just the third time in school history, the Stevenson football team boasted a 100-yard rusher and a 100-yard receiver in the same game as sophomore Trey Lee ran for 157 and freshman Seth Jordan had 106 receiving as the Mustangs defeated Misericordia on the road Saturday at Mangelsdorf Stadium, 35-14.
With the win, Stevenson (7-3, 6-3 MAC) finished the regular season in fourth place in the Middle Atlantic Conference while posting a school-record seven wins. As a result, the team is in good position to make its first-ever postseason appearance when ECAC bowl selections are announced on Monday.
The last time the Mustangs had a 100-yard rusher and 100-yard receiver in the same game was during their inaugural season on Nov. 12, 2011 when C.J. Hopson rushed for 118 and Jae DeShields had 167 receiving in a 43-34 loss at Wilkes.
In addition, Jordan becomes the fifth different player to have 100 yards receiving in a game. Stevenson has accomplished the feat six times in its history, including two times in 2011, two times in 2013 and twice this season. Senior Anthony Reid had 193 yards receiving versus Wilkes last week.
Jordan and Lee each had first-quarter touchdowns as the Mustangs jumped out to a 21-7 lead. Jordan hauled in a 41-yard pass from freshman Jeff Farrah on the game's opening drive before Lee put Stevenson back in front 14-7 on a nine-yard run with 2:48 remaining.
Lee's touchdown capped a one-play drive that was set-up by a fumble recovery by senior Tim Campbell.
On the Cougars' ensuing drive, Jeff Puckett was intercepted on the first play by senior Shane Clough, his team-leading fifth of the year, which led to an 11-yard touchdown pass from Farrah to Reid with 1:23 left.
Stevenson finished the first quarter with 172 yards of total offense compared to 65 for Misericordia while controlling the ball for 12:54.
The Cougars (1-9, 1-8 MAC) would pull within one score at the half thanks to a four-yard, second-quarter touchdown run by Puckett with 7:05 to play. The run was set-up by a seven-yard punt by the Mustangs that gave Misericordia the ball at the Stevenson 25-yard line.
After a scoreless third quarter in which the two teams combined for just four possessions and 139 yards of total offense, the Mustangs quickly opened the fourth quarter with Lee's second nine-yard touchdown run of the game only six seconds in. The run capped a 65-yard drive of which Lee accounted for 63 yards on four carries.
Following two turnovers and a Misericordia punt, Stevenson took over at its own 6-yard line and drove 94 yards for a touchdown culminating in a 45-yard touchdown pass from Farrah to Jordan. The 94-yard drive was the longest in school history.
Farrah finished 10-for-17 for 169 yards and three touchdowns. His 183 quarterback rating was the highest of his career.
Junior Razonte Dunn and sophomore Cory Pietrzyk each had 10 tackles to lead a defensive effort that forced four turnovers and held the Cougars to just 58 yards passing and 286 yards of total offense.
Puckett ran for 179 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries for Misericordia while completing 10-of-17 pass attempts for 40 yards.
