Box Score GRAND LAKE, Colo. - For the fourth-straight season, the Stevenson women's lacrosse team has been ranked in the IWLCA Division III Coaches Poll as the Mustangs were placed at No. 17 on Tuesday, equaling the program's highest-ever national ranking. They were one of two teams from the Commonwealth Conference to be ranked this week.
Stevenson (13-1, 6-0 MAC), winners of 13-in-a-row, was also ranked No. 17 on Apr. 24, 2012. The team received their first-ever ranking on Mar. 8, 2010 when they were No. 19.
Two opponents from Stevenson's 2013 schedule are also listed in this week's poll as in-state rival Salisbury is at No. 12 and Commonwealth Conference rival Messiah is at No. 18. The Mustangs defeated Messiah at home 13-8 last Wednesday and lost at Salisbury in their season opener on February 23, 19-5.
Since 2010, the Mustangs have spent a total of 17 weeks in the national poll, spending six weeks in the national rankings that year, three in 2011 and seven in 2012.
Stevenson travels to Hood on Tuesday for a Commonwealth Conference contest beginning at 3:30 p.m.
