Box Score GLENSIDE, Pa. - Led by a career-high 19 points by junior Kyarra Harmon and first career double-double by junior Kayla Kelly, the Stevenson women's basketball team outscored Arcadia 44-19 in the second half en route to a 74-49 Commonwealth Conference victory Saturday at Alumni Gymnasium.
The Mustangs (4-3, 3-0 MAC), who are tied for first in the conference, posted their fourth consecutive victory and third in the Commonwealth to even the all-time series against the Knights (5-2, 0-2 MAC) at three a piece.
After giving up an average of 63.3 points in its first three games, Stevenson now ranks second in the conference allowing just 52.7 points per game.
Arcadia held a 10 point lead with 6:45 remaining in the first half, but the Mustangs rallied to tie the game at 30 heading into halftime on a layup by junior Kayleigh Guzek with 13 seconds remaining.
Guzek finished with four points, seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
The trio of Harmon, Kelly and sophomore Stephanie Martinez combined to score 38 of the teams 44 second half points and together scored 30-straight during a 11:50 span.
Martinez finished with 20 points marking the third time in her career she has scored at least 20 and 14th time she has scored in double figures. She also finished with four assists, two steals, two rebounds and one block.
Meanwhile, Kelly finished with her first career double double with 15 points and a career-high 10 rebounds. She also added a game-high five assists.
Stevenson outrebounded Arcadia 54-39 and scored 24 points off 24 turnovers.
The Mustangs return to action on Sunday, December 15 when they host a non-conference contest with Virginia Wesleyan, head coach Jackie Boswell's alma mater. Game time is 2:00 p.m.
