Box Score OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Stevenson women's basketball team committed 27 turnovers, including 19 in the first half, which led to 25 points for Salisbury who led by as many as 25 late in the second half en route to a 63-45 non-conference victory Thursday at Owings Mills Gymnasium.
The Mustangs (0-3) had 11 unforced turnovers in the first half while shooting just .250 percent from the field and scoring a season low 11 points.
After a layup by Kayleigh Guzek to cut the score to 5-4 with 15:30 left in the first half, Sarah Seipp scored back-to-back three-pointers to start a 12-0 run for the Sea Gulls.
Salisbury (2-2) led by as many as 23 points in the first half while scoring 16 off turnovers. Seipp had 14 first half points, connecting on 3-of-6 from beyond the arc.
Junior Kyarra Harmon scored four of the teams 11 first half points, going 2-for-3 from the floor while adding two rebounds, one block and one steal. Meanwhile Salisbury's starters combined for 60 of their 63 points, 25 rebounds and 10 steals.
Anna Hackett led all scorers with 20 points, 12 of them coming in the second half. Seipp finished with 16.
Harmon led the Mustangs with nine points while sophomore Stephanie Martinez had seven. Junior Kayla Kelly and sophomore Caitlin Roy added six a piece.
Freshman Claudia Lohr, seeing her first game action this season, scored her first collegiate points with two free throws late in the game.
Stevenson returns to action on Tuesday, November 26 when they host a Commonwealth Conference contest versus Alvernia beginning at 6:00 p.m.
