Box Score GLASSBORO, N.J. - After missing the team's first five games, Stevenson women's soccer junior Lauren Weitzman (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) made four saves in her first appearance for the Mustangs since Nov. 13, 2010, but Erika Suhl scored all three of the game's goals to give Rowan a 3-0 victory Saturday at Rowan Soccer Field.
Stevenson (4-2) suffered its first loss in three road games this season and is now 8-3-1 on the road over the last two seasons. It was also the team's third defeat in as many years against the Profs.
Ironically for Weitzman, who suffered a dislocated finger in the preseason, her last appearance in a Mustang uniform came before Saturday came on the same field when the Mustangs and Rowan met in the first round of the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship.
On Saturday, neither team found the back of the net until Suhl scored what proved to be the game-winner in the 52nd minute off an assist from Morgan Muracco.
Muracco would add her second goal a mere 3:20 later from just outside the box before capping the scoring in the 69th minute on a breakaway.
The Profs held a slim 11-10 edge in shots and a 9-5 advantage in corner kicks. Weitzman allowed three goals and had four saves in 75 minutes before giving way to freshman Kayla Arnold (Taneytown. Md./Francis Scott Key).
Stevenson returns home where they will face Catholic at Mustang Stadium on Wednesday beginning at 4:00 p.m.
