DOVER, Del. - Three different players scored for the Wesley men's soccer team as the Wolverines earned their first conference victory with 3-0 shutout over Stevenson Saturday at Scott Miller Stadium.

After starting the season with six consecutive non-conference victories, climbing to No. 7 in the NSCAA South Atlantic Region Poll and No. 26 in the D3soccer.com national poll, the Mustangs (6-3, 0-3 CAC) have stumbled in CAC play with three-straight losses.

Wesley (3-5-1, 1-1 CAC) held a slim 14-10 edge in shots and broke through in the 14th minute when Cory Hennessy found the back of the net for the first time to give the Wolverines an early 1-0 lead.

Wesley would strike again with only 13 seconds remaining in the first half when Frank Buffa scored his second goal of the season off a helper from Oscar Castrejon to give Wesley a two-goal advantage going into halftime.

Junior Ryan Flannelly (Middlesex, N.J./Middlesex) allowed both first half goals while making four saves before yielding to sophomore Cory Spindler (Sykesville/Century) who played the first 33 minutes of the second, surrendering an unassisted tally to Joshua Chellah in the 51st minute.

Freshman Alex Zeidler (Woodstown, N.J./Woodstown) made his second appearance of the season in the 78th minute and registered the final 12 minutes in goal, nearly doubling the amount of time he saw in his first appearance in the season opener. He also made the first two saves of his collegiate career.

After totaling 11 goals and 25 points in his first seven games, Stevenson's leading scorer, sophomore Ansger Otto (Willingboro, N.J./Willingboro) has been held scoreless in his last two.

Stevenson looks to snap its three-game losing skid on Tuesday when it returns home to face cross-town rival Goucher at 4:00 p.m. The Mustangs are also looking for their first win over the Gophers since 2002. Goucher edged out a 1-0 victory at home last season.
