Stevenson, MD-The Mustangs celebrated a home win
over conference opponents the Salisbury Sea Gulls, bringing their
record in the competitive Capital Athletic Conference to 3-3.
Opening up scoring for the night with a layup,
assisted by Greg Woody (Baltimore, MD/ Mt. St.
Joe) was Villa Julie's Jeremy Bernard (Baltimore,
MD/ Western Tech.). Salisbury answered back, and the two
teams battled back-and-forth, tying at 8-8 with 13:53 left in the
half. But the Mustangs began to pull away, going on a 14-2 run and
pushing their lead up to 11 points. The team held on to its lead
until halftime, and ended the first 20 minutes 29-21.
Going into the second half, the Sea Gulls proved
they were not willing to go down easy, and Villa Julie watched its
lead dwindle down to four points three minutes into the period. But
the men were determined to come out on top, and with a layup from
Justin Miles (Baltimore, MD/ Douglas), with an
assist from Broderick Hill (Largo, MD/ Bishop
McNamara), the Mustangs were dominating the scoreboard
once again at 56-48. The team finished the game strong, defeating
Salisbury with a final score 70-57.

Turner (Baltimore, MD/ Polytechnic) totaled 11 points and
eight rebounds, while Bernard racked up 10 points
