Sheahan and Beaman Named 2026-27 Co-Presidents of Chi Alpha Sigma at Stevenson

Owings Mills, Md. (August 6)– Stevenson University has announced senior women's soccer midfielder Karly Sheahan and senior men's basketball guard Kole Beaman as the new co-presidents of the Omicron Chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma for the 2026-27 academic year.

Chi Alpha Sigma is the national honor society for high-achieving student-athletes in their junior or senior year who have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and are recommended for induction by their coaches. The organization recognizes student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically while demonstrating leadership within their communities.

A native of Pennsylvania, Sheahan was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma during her junior year. She earned All-MAC Commonwealth Second Team honors as a sophomore and was named to the MAC Academic Honor Roll as a junior. Sheahan is majoring in Business Administration.

Beaman, a Baltimore native, was a junior guard for the Mustangs during the 2025-26 season. He was recognized as a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection and earned All-MAC Commonwealth Honorable Mention honors. Beaman is majoring in Counseling and Human Services.

As co-presidents, Sheahan and Beaman will help lead the Omicron Chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma while continuing to uphold the organization's mission of recognizing academic achievement, athletic excellence, and leadership among Stevenson student-athletes.
