Owings Mills, Md.- The Mustangs won their first
game of the season as they hosted Hood College. Their overall
record improves to 1-3 (1-2 CAC).
Villa Julie took a quick lead with seven goals in the
first ten minutes, 7-0. Hood made their only goal of the
game at 16:02 in the first period. Villa Julie continued to
score multiple times for an eventual score of 25-1.
Meghan Smith (Stevensvile, MD/Kent Island) led
the Mustangs with six goals. Jamie Jones
(Glen Burnie, MD/Glen Burnie) added four goals. Cat
Connelly (Fallston, MD/Fallston), Brittany
Connelly (Catonsville, MD/Catonsville), Lauren
Zegowitz (Gaithersburg, MD/Damascus), and Julie
Olson (Spofford, NH/Keene) each tallied three goals.
The Mustangs return to the field on Wednesday, March 7 at
Salisbury for a 3:00 p.m. match.
