Owings Mills, MD - The Villa Julie Women's Soccer team recorded
their first win of the week against the College of Notre Dame. The
Mustangs play three games this week so it was very important to
start the week with a win. The Mustangs scored three first half
goals to record a 3-0 win in a game they completely dominated.
The Mustangs got on the score-sheet early when freshman
Jen Rosenberger (Glen Arm, MD/Loch Raven) poked
the ball past the goalkeeper. The second goal was scored by senior
Kelly Townley (Baltimore, MD/John
Carroll) who finished after a great through ball from
senior Tonia Cristino (Lancaster, PA/Hempfield).
The Mustangs continued to dominate the first half and scored the
third and final goal of the game when freshman Allison
Humphries (Bel Air, MD/John Carroll) converted a cross
with an accurate headed goal.
The Mustangs dominated the second half and outshot
their opponents with the CND goalkeeper recording double digit
saves.
The Mustangs return to conference action on Thursday 18th
October against York College at Owings Mills in a 4pm kick-off.
