The Mustangs traveled to Bard College with the regular-season title on the line, and came home with a win and a championship.  The championship is the second in three years for Coach Lynnette Buffington's VJC squad.

In a rain-soaked field in which their game was pushed back three hours, and the men's game was cancelled for that same afternoon; the Mustangs scored the lone goal of the day on a breakaway from junior forward Tonia Cristino (Lancaster, PA/Hempfield).  Rose Phelan (Carney, MD/Loch Raven) was credited with the assist on Cristino's goal. 

With the victory the Mustangs will host the NEAC championships this Friday and Saturday.  They will play the 11:30am game at Owings Mills versus the winner between Bard and Chestnut Hill.
