Philadelphia, PA.- In a rain-soaked game,
the Mustangs were able to go on the road for a hard-fought victory
over NEAC opponent Chestnut Hill College 3-1.
Katie Orlando got the scoring started at 29:40 from 35 yards
out with a rocket of a shot. Junior Laura
Robinson (Westminster, MD/MD) was credited with an
assist on the play. Chestnut Hill then tied it up with a
free kick from just outside the 18 yard line. Junior Tonia
Cristino(Lancaster, PA/Hemphield) then scored the
game-winner off a cross from junior Lauren Healy
(Baltimore, MD/Catholic) at
52:11. Cristino rounded out the scoring for
the day off of a cross from junior Rose Phelan
(Carney, MD/Loch Raven) at 78:51.
The Mustangs are back in action on Saturday when they host
SUNY-Purchase for a NEAC showdown.
