Administration Awards
Nominations are accepted from coaches and administrators. 

Alumni Award: This award is bestowed upon a former student-athlete who continues to embody Stevenson University's four core values throughout their daily lives, continues to support, encourage and grow our current Stevenson University Athletics family. This award is determined by the Athletics Alumni Committee.

Dean Dawson GPA (Award both a Male and Female): This award is bestowed upon a graduating student-athlete that has been enrolled with the university for all four years. The award recipient is a student-athlete that has competed at Stevenson University for all four years of their college career, using all their athletic eligibility. Student-Athlete GPA will be based on their cumulative total at the completion of their fall semester.

Dick Watts Transfer Athlete (Award for both Male and Female): This award is bestowed upon a graduating senior that has competed for at least two years at Stevenson University, completing all their athletic eligibility by the spring of their anticipated graduation. This student-athlete must have had a GPA 3.0 of higher prior to transferring to Stevenson University.

Moment of the Year: This award honors the best moment from the year, nominated by the Athletic Communications staff and voted on by the Athletic Department Senior Staff.

Play of the Year: This award honors the top play of the year, nominated by the Athletics Communications staff and voted on by the Athletic Department Senior Staff.

Breakthrough Athlete of the Year: This award is bestowed upon a student-athlete that is in their second, third or fourth year of eligibility. This student-athlete should demonstrate a significant improvement in performance, leadership and academic achievement.

Rookie of the Year: This award is bestowed upon a student-athlete that is in their first year of competition at Stevenson University. This student should demonstrate excellence and leadership on and off the field.

SAAC Athlete Choice Award (Female/Male): This award is bestowed upon a female student-athlete who is a committed, caring, responsible, a positive and humble leader on and off the field of competition. This person is considered an unsung hero of their team.

Fighting Heart Award: This award is bestowed upon a student who has overcome the odds and showed strength and perseverance in their life and truly portrays a fighting heart spirit.

Senior Female/Male Athlete of the Year: This award is bestowed upon a student-athlete that is registered to graduate and have completed their eligibility. Transfer student athletes must have competed at least two years at Stevenson University. The student-athlete must be in good academic standing.

NCAA Woman of the Year: This award is bestowed upon a female student-athlete that has exhausted their NCAA eligibility and distinguishes themselves in academics, athletics, service and leadership throughout their collegiate careers. This award recipient is selected by the Senior Woman Administration.

Fran Fidler Spirit Award: This award is bestowed upon a student-athlete, coach or staff member. Named after Fran Fidler, a member of the university community for over 20 years, the award was created to honor her unwavering positive spirit. The recipient is someone with a positive attitude, a sense of involvement and passion for the athletics department as a whole. This nominee will always have the best interest of the university at heart and will always go the extra mile to support Stevenson University Athletics.

Highest Team GPA (Male/Female): This award is bestowed on a women's and men's team and is given to the team that has the highest cumulative GPA through the completion of the fall semester.

Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Awards
The SAAC student-athletes can nominate student-athletes from each of the 28 intercollegiate athletic teams as well as cheer and dance and the winners will be chosen by a vote by SAAC members. If teams are not active in SAAC, their student-athletes are not eligible for any SAAC awards.

Athlete's Choice (Male & Female)

Presented to a male and a female graduating senior who is committed, caring, responsible, willing to take on additional responsibilities, has a positive attitude, is humble and modest, willing to help, a leader on and off the field, shows enthusiasm and is an unsung hero.

Assistant Coaches of the Year (Male & Female)

This award is bestowed upon an assistant coach of both a female and male team. The recipients of this award should have a positive impact on all student-athletes through player development, sportsmanship, and leadership on and off the field of competition. They are supportive, encouraging, and have a strong commitment to the program and student-athlete success. These coaches always go above and beyond to support our teams and our student-athletes.
