Men’s Ice Hockey dealt shutout by Golden Wolves

REISTERSTOWN, Md. – The Stevenson University men's ice hockey team fell 2-0 to Alvernia University on Friday evening at Reisterstown Sportsplex.

Alvernia opened the scoring at the 3:13 mark of the second period and sealed the victory with an empty-net goal with 52 seconds remaining in regulation.

Despite the result, the Mustangs held a decisive 46-20 advantage in shots on goal. Blake Benson paced Stevenson with nine shots, while Aidan McDowell and John Musella each added six. McDowell recorded a team-best two blocked shots, and Finnegan made 18 saves in net.

Stevenson returns to Middle Atlantic Conference action on Saturday, traveling to face Lebanon Valley College. Puck drop is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Hersheypark Arena.
