NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its conference weekly award recipients for the week ending November 2, 2026. A total of 27 student-athletes were recognized for performances from Oct. 26, 2026 to Nov. 2, 2026. Of the 27 student-athletes honored, Hailey Mertz of No. 5 field hockey and Louis Finnegan of men's ice hockey were highlighted. 

FIELD HOCKEY (#MACfh) 
MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week 
Hailey Mertz totaled nine points in a 2-0 week for the No. 5 Mustangs, with wins over Hood and Eastern. She scored a goal against Hood, then had a seven-point game against Eastern with a hat trick and an assist, including the game-winning goal. 

MEN'S ICE HOCKEY (#MAChky) 
MAC Defensive Player of the Week
Louis Finnegan  backstopped Stevenson to a 2-0 opening weekend with wins over SUNY Brockport and Nazareth. He made 29 saves (.935) in a 4-2 season-opening win over Brockport and 20 saves (.952) in a 5-1 win over Nazareth. For the week, he totaled 49 saves, a .942 save percentage and a 1.50 goals-against average, allowing three goals in 120 minutes.
