ASTON, Pa. – The Stevenson men's ice hockey team (8-5 overall, 7-2 MAC) dropped a 4-1 decision to Neumann (8-5-1 overall, 7-2-1 MAC) on Saturday afternoon.
Neumann scored twice in the opening period to take a 2-0 lead into the first intermission. The Knights added a power-play goal early in the second period, but Stevenson responded shortly after as Aidan McDowell found the back of the net, assisted by Keenan Schneider and Connor MacDonell, to put the Mustangs on the board.
Despite sustained offensive pressure from Stevenson in the third period, Neumann sealed the win with an empty-net goal in the final two minutes of play.
Three Mustangs recorded a point in the contest, while Ford DeLoss and Louis Finnegan split time in goal, combining for 30 saves.
Stevenson returns home on Friday to host King's (Pa.) in MAC action. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Reisterstown Sportsplex.
