Midway through the half, Stevenson continued to pressure defensively and capitalize on extra possessions.
Myles Jackson converted back-to-back finishes in the paint, and Luddy added a strong put-back and free throw to bring Stevenson within one possession. Seguignol later drilled another clutch three-pointer to cut the deficit to a single point with just over three minutes remaining.
Down the stretch, Beaman remained steady at the line, converting all three free throws in the final seconds to keep the Mustangs within striking distance. Stevenson forced multiple late stops and created opportunities, but Alvernia was able to hold on in the closing moments.
