OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Stevenson field hockey squad (3-0) took down the Elizabethtown Blue Jays (0-2) 4-0 on Wednesday evening.
Shae Bennett put away her third goal of the season in the first minute of the contest, as
Tori Martz netted a goal eight minutes later off a feed from
Gracyn Catalano.
Gracyn Catalano found the back of the cage in the 43
rd minute of the match, as
Kailen Hibshman made it a 4-0 game with less than five minutes left in the game.
The Mustangs outshot the Blue Jays 18-3 overall, and 7-1 on cage. Catalano led the points column with a three-point evening from her goal and assist. Bennett, Martz, and Hibshman each notched a two-point contest from their goals.
Jordan Vradenburgh snagged the shutout win in goal, and made a save on the night.
The Mustangs prepare to host Penn State-Harrisburgh on Saturday afternoon on Owings Mills East. The match is set to begin at 1 p.m.
