OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Stevenson University women's volleyball team picked up a pair of wins in its second tri-match of the season, defeating both Sweet Briar and Penn State-York by 3-0 scores.
The Mustangs, now 7-5 and 5-1 at home, won by scores of 25-4, 25-3 and 25-10 in the first game over the Vixens (0-8) and scores of 25-11, 25-16 and 25-8 over the Nittany Lions (11-2).

The Mustangs hit .440 in the three set win (28-6-50) as head coach
Emma Lorenzen got most if not all of her players in the game.
Rachel Lenz was perfect in attacking as she hit a match-high eight kills on eight attempts, while
Lillianna Hornickle,
Sydney Salazar,
Autumn Henry and
Emma Shaffer each had three kills.
Declyn Tooze had 11 assists while
Courtney Foose had nine. Shaffer had seven aces with three other players (Hornickle, Foose and Tooze) each getting three. Shaffer's seven aces is tied for third best in school history.

Tooze had 24 assists in the match, including her 1,000 of her career to close the first set.
Giulia Viglietta had an outstanding match as she hit .524 (12-1-21) while
Logan Burge hit an eye-popping .714 (10-0-14). The Mustangs, as a team, hit .386 in the nightcap (41-9-83).
Foose had 12 assists in the match, while Lenz had four aces. Hornickle had four total blocks, while Viglietta had ten.
Lenz finished the match with ten digs.
Stevenson heads to Messiah on Tuesday for a matchup with the defending Commonwealth Conference champions.
