OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Stevenson field hockey squad (6-1) defeated the Gettysburg Bullets (4-3) with a 1-0 match on Saturday afternoon.
In the contest, it was a back-and-forth battle, but in the 15
th minute,
Kailen Hibshman found the back of the cage off a penalty corner from
Lauren Schulz.
Stevenson outshot the Bullets 16-4 overall, 8-2 on cage. Hibshman put the lone goal away in the contest for a two-point game, as Schulz notched a point from the assist. Jordan Vradenburg snags another shutout, making two saves in goal.
The Mustangs will prepare to jump on the road to face St. Mary's College of Md. on Wednesday, September 24. The match is set for 7 p.m.
