Arlington, Va. – The Stevenson men's soccer team came up short on the road Wednesday evening, falling 2-1 in a non-conference match up against Marymount.
Marymount struck first in the 20th minute, slipping a shot past the Mustang defense. Stevenson responded just 10 minutes later when
Gianfranco Vitella netted the equalizer, his fifth goal of the season. Despite generating several chances, neither side was able to break the deadlock before halftime.
The Saints regained the lead early in the second half, converting in the 50th minute to make it 2-1. The Mustangs pushed forward in search of another equalizer, firing 10 shots in the closing 45 minutes, but could not find the back of the net.

Nolen Olson-Warwick turned in a strong performance with a season-high eight saves, despite the pair of goals conceded.
Stevenson continues its road swing with a trip to Dickinson on Wednesday, September 24. Kickoff is slated for 4:30 p.m.
