OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Stevenson University women's volleyball team dropped a spirited 3-1 match to Gettysburg on Wednesday night.
Set scores were 27-25, 20-25, 25-13 and 25-20 in favor of the Bullets (3-4).
Despite the loss Stevenson turned in some great performances against a talented Bullet squad.
Giulia Viglietta – fresh off being named to the All-Classic team at the Pam Briggs Classic this past weekend – had a match-high 13 kills to just four errors on 34 attempts (.265).
Rachel Lenz had ten kills, while
Logan Burge swung .412 (8-1-17).
Declyn Tooze had 20 assists with
Courtney Foose getting 16, as Stevenson (3-4) got 42 assists on 46 kills. The Mustangs as a team hit .131 on the night (46-27-145).
Burge finished with four blocks on the evening.
Defensively,
Isabella Terra had 16 digs while also getting two service aces.
The Mustangs have a pause in their schedule, as they won't be in action till next Wednesday at home against the Catholic University of America. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
