FREDERICK, Md. - The Stevenson women's tennis team cruised to a 6-1 win over MAC Commonwealth opponent, Hood, which improved its conference record to 2-0.
MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week,
Ariella Stepleman, and teammate
Shelby Carter won their 10th match as a duo, 6-1.
Kara Chwang and
Sofia McCoy improved to 5-1 on the year with their 6-4 win, while
Mackenzie Dicke and
Bethany Luckett dominated their opponents by a 6-1 score.
Stepleman improved to 8-2 on the year with her 6-1, 6-1 win in No. 2 singles. Chwang picked up her eighth win in No. 3, 6-3, 6-2.
Dicke won her third match of the year in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2. McCoy and
Yana Vaiman won their matches in straight sets, 6-1, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-0.
The Mustangs (7-4, 2-0 MACC) head back home for a conference matchup against Messiah on Saturday, April 12 at 1 p.m.
